Humanity, Dentistry and the Provision of Hope Where There Was None: Care for an Immobile Patient with Limited Mouth-Opening by Combining Conventional Care with Non-invasive Technologies

I am a solo practicing general dentist in the fourth decade of private practice and provide dental care to three generations of families. Several of my extended family members and friends are physicians. Many of my patients are aware of this and thus I am often contacted by them asking for help with some medical concerns.


It remains gratifying to help others and thus I jokingly claim that I am a full-time dentist and part-time medical concierge. Some of my colleagues and staf have questioned whether this is not too onerous or time-consuming. To this I reply: “It is far easier to give help than to need it.”
